As a new believer in Jesus Christ, there are fundamental truths from the Bible that we should try to internalize.
- Faith in the love of God – Make it a daily practice to remind yourself of God’s love for you. You do this by reading Bible verses about God’s love, meditating on His love, and praying to Him about it. This will help you to internalize the truth that God’s love is unconditional and not based on your actions.
- Practising repentance and forgiveness – Recognize that you are not perfect and that you will make mistakes. When you do, be quick to repent and ask for forgiveness from God and others. This will help you to maintain a clear conscience and keep your relationship with God and others healthy.
- Faith in Jesus Christ – Make it a priority to deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ by studying His life and teachings in the Bible, praying to Him regularly, and seeking guidance from the Holy Spirit. This will help you to grow in your faith and understanding of who Jesus Christ is.
- Empowerment by the Holy Spirit – Seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit in your daily life. This can be done through prayer, reading the Bible, and being open to His leading. Trust that He will provide you with the direction, strength, and wisdom you need to navigate life’s challenges.
- Christian community and fellowship – Find a community of other believers who share your faith and values. This can be done by joining a local church, attending Bible studies or small groups, and participating in volunteer or outreach activities. Being part of a community of believers will provide you with support, encouragement, and opportunities to serve others.
Remember that becoming a believer in Jesus Christ is a lifelong journey of growing in faith and relationship with God. It takes time, patience, and consistent effort to internalize these fundamental truths and live them out in your daily life. But with God’s help and the support of other believers, you find joy, peace, and purpose in your journey.
